These are all the places in Yorkshire where coronavirus cases are rising fastest

Cases of coronavirus are on the rise in numerous towns, cities and districts across Yorkshire, according to newly released Government figures.

A number of areas across the region have seen an increase in new cases.

The figures, for the seven days to September 10, are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).

The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.

Data for the most recent three days (September 11-13) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.

The figures are expressed as local authority, rate of new cases in the seven days to September 10; number (in brackets) of new cases recorded in the seven days to September 10; rate of new cases in the seven days to September 3; number (in brackets) of new cases recorded in the seven days to September 3.
