The two Sheffield areas with ZERO coronavirus deaths up to June

New figures have revealed the Sheffield neighbourhoods where Covid-19 has had the lowest impact so far.

A total of 538 people in Sheffield died with Covid-19 between March and May according to the latest data by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) – a rate of 107.2 deaths per 100,000 population.

The ONS figures for Covid-19 related deaths in the three-month period have also been linked with residential postcodes, revealing the Sheffield suburbs which have been the least affected by the devastating pandemic.

While the data is indicative of where the death is registered to, it does not point to the exact location of someone's death.

It also excludes deaths of non-residents and, to protect confidentiality, a small number of deaths have been reallocated between neighbouring areas.

The information is based on details collected when certified deaths are registered with the local registration office.

Here are 15 areas in Sheffield which saw the fewest number of deaths occurring between March and May this year where Covid-19 was mentioned as a cause on the death certificate.
