The Sheffield areas with fewer than 10 new Covid cases in the last week

The number of new cases in Sheffield is falling week on week, and an easing of lockdown restrictions was announced yesterday.

In the week to February 17 (the latest week on record), there were 24 areas in the city with fewer than 10 new cases.

Across the whole city in that week there were 698 new cases reported – a decline in 150 from the week previous.

And the infection rate fell from 145 in the week to February 11 to 119.3 in the week to Febrary 17.

Three of Sheffield’s areas had fewer than three new cases of Covid-19 in the most recent week. Because data for these is so low, specific umbers cannot be given.

These were: Beauchief; Dore and Whirlow; and Spring Vale and Steel Bank.

The following 21 areas were the ones on Sheffield with between three and 10 new cases in the week to February 17.

And the infection rate fell from 145 in the week to February 11 to 119.3 in the week to Febrary 17.
