The FIVE Sheffield areas where Covid-19 infections have reached triple digits in the last week

The number of coronavirus cases in Sheffield continues to rise by hundreds every day, with infection numbers reaching triple digits in five city neighbourhoods.

There were 413 cases per 100,000 people in the latest seven days to 9 October, the latest date for which reliable data is available. The average area in England had 77. During this time 2,414 people in the city were diagnosed with coronavirus, an average of 345 new cases every day.

Sheffield has been placed into Tier 2 on the Government’s coronavirus alert system, which bans households mixing indoors, including in indoor settings.
