The 15 Sheffield areas where coronavirus cases are falling fastest

Cases are dropping in parts of the city.

The figures, from Public Health England, are available to view in an interactive map and show which neighbourhoods saw a decrease in cases between November 4-11.

Meanwhile, Sheffield is expected to learn soon whether it will return to Tier 3 restrictions once the national lockdown ends.

The Government is due to decide next week what to do once the England-wide lockdown ends on December 2, with scientists calling for a tougher tiered lockdown system than that which preceded it to keep down coronavirus infection rates.

Just eight cases of the virus were confirmed here during the week leading up to November 11. This was down by 16 cases from the previous week, equating to a 66.7 per cent decrease in cases.
