The 15 areas of Sheffield with the fewest Covid deaths since the pandemic began

As Covid-19 infection rate across Sheffield continues to show a downward trend, several neighbourhoods in the city have also documented a low number of deaths related to the deadly illness.

According to an interactive map produced by Office for National Statistics (ONS), 15 neighbourhoods in Sheffield have recorded fewer than 10 Covid-19 deaths between March 2020 and February 2021.

The map also shows the number of deaths where Covid-19 was the underlying (main) cause on the death certificate in every neighbourhood in England and Wales.

As local data is only available up to February, the numbers of deaths in the map will not reflect the latest trends.

In particular, patterns may not reflect those seen in the most recent case numbers, as a death from COVID-19 will be reported some time after a positive test. March data will be added to the map on 22 April 2021.

Below are the 15 Sheffield neighbourhoods with the least Covid-19 deaths as of February 2021.
