The 13 Sheffield neighbourhoods where coronavirus infections have reached double digits

The Sheffield neighbourhoods with the most coronavirus infections have been revealed as positive cases in the city continue to rise.

The latest available data shows no fewer than 13 city neighbourhoods registered 10 or more cases between 17 and 23 September, with 20 or more infections confirmed in two areas.

There were 421 positive cases in Sheffield in the seven days to 22 September, up 289 from the previous week. The city’s infection rate for this period was 72 per 100,000 people. The average area in England had 24. Sheffield remains an ‘area of concern’ on the Government’s coronavirus watchlist.
