The 12 worst Sheffield areas for Covid-19 infections this week as Tier 2 rules begin

Coronavirus infections continue to rise across Sheffield as new restrictions to help slow transmission come into force from Wednesday.

There were 418 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to 10 October, the latest date for which reliable data is available. The average area in England had 81.

During this time 2,446 people in the city were diagnosed with coronavirus – an average of 349 new cases every day – and no fewer than 12 city neighbourhoods registered at least 40 cases between October 3 and 9.
