The 11 areas of Sheffield and Rotherham with the most Covid infections - including one with 32

Coronavirus infections continue to rise in Sheffield and South Yorkshire, with no fewer than 32 cases reported in one neighbourhood.

The latest available data reveals seven areas of the region registered 15 or more cases in the seven days to 24 September, with 19 Sheffield neighbourhoods reaching double figures for infections during this period.

There were 494 positive coronavirus cases in Sheffield between September 19 and 25, up 222 from the previous week.

The infection rate for this period was 84 cases per 100,000 people, while in Rotherham it was 83. The average area in England had 26.
