Sheffield's coronavirus death toll remains static as 22 more die in England hospitals

No more people have died with coronavirus at hospital in Sheffield since yesterday, according to latest NHS figures.

In total there have been 288 coronavirus-related deaths in the city’s hospitals.

The toll in Rotherham has also remained the same at 195 deaths, and in Barnsley one more person died, taking the total to 148. One more person died in Doncaster, meaning that there have been 228 fatalities there.

Across the country, a further 22 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 28,991.

Patients were aged between 53 and 94 years old. One patient, aged 77 years old, had no known underlying health conditions.

The latest figures from NHS England are for confirmed deaths at hospitals in the 24 hours up to 5pm on Thursday, June 25. They do not include deaths at care homes or elsewhere in the community.
