Sheffield Covid-19 hotspot records over 300 CASES this week as worst-hit areas revealed

Coronavirus cases continue to soar in Sheffield, with the number in one neighbourhood alone rising to more than 300.

The latest data, which covers the seven days to 2 October, shows 30 or more cases were recorded in nine areas of the city, with a further two neighbourhoods recording 29 cases.

There were 320 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to 3 October. The average area in England had 55.
