Sheffield Covid-19 death toll rises as 25 more people die across South Yorkshire

25 more people with Covid-19 have died in South Yorkshire, with fatalities recorded in every local authority area.

Latest NHS figures revealed that 10 more people have died in Sheffield, two in Rotherham, five in Barnsley and eight in Doncaster.

This means that 366 people have now died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus in Sheffield, with 316 deaths recorded in Doncaster, 247 in Rotherham and 188 in Barnsley, taking the total in South Yorkshire hospitals to 1,117.

The families of the deceased have been informed.

Nationally, a further 302 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 33,637.

Patients were aged between 13 and 100 years old. All except 12 (aged 56 to 99 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
