The independent cinema’s most recent rules ensured cinema-goers had to wear masks when entering and walking around the cinema and also instructed each household to keep a two seat gap from other customers on the same row, while in the screening.

Anyone who pre-booked tickets for Nick Cave, War Horse and ShAFF events are asked to keep hold of booking confirmation as the screenings will be rescheduled when the cinema is allowed to reopen.

Mr Wild continued: “I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for all your help and support over the last seven months.

"As an independent cinema and registered charity, we love nothing more than to bring the best indie films and events to our Sheffield and South Yorkshire audience.
