More than 20 Sheffield areas with less than 10 Covid-19 cases - as two neighbourhoods now almost virus free

There are now over 20 Sheffield neighbourhoods which recorded fewer than 10 new coronavirus cases in the most recently recorded week according to Public Health England.

Across Sheffield, two areas are also classed as nearly Covid-19 free as they documented less than three more virus infections in the week to February 9 – meaning there is not enough Government data to calculate a rolling rate or total number of new cases for the neighbourhood.

Coronavirus tests in the community and in hospitals in the latest seven day recording period shows there are 21 areas in the city with less than 10 new infections – as the city’s rate of infection continues to fall.
