"I think it’s very fair to say the tranmission of the virus in the school has been very unsettling for us all.

”I completely understand how anxious this news will make many of you and I would urge you to contact myself at the school to discuss any concerns.

“We are mindful of reducing any anxieties and would respectfully request that this letter is kept for your own information.

The school has reported several cases to parents in recent weeks.

It is not clear if the cases referred to in the letter are new cases.

The school caters for pupils who have severe learning difficulties and additional profound and complex physical and medical needs.
