In Doncaster, 1,188 new cases were recorded, giving a weekly rate of 380.9 – down from 479.0 in the week ending on November 5.
Dr Rupert Suckling, Director of Public Health in Doncaster, said he was ‘pleased’ that there had been a reduction in the number of coronavirus cases in the town in recent days.
But he says rates remain ‘very high’ and that people should continue to follow the restrictions with England still in lockdown until December 2.

“Our rate still remains very high and is way above the national average but these are definitely green shoots and should be welcomed and show that the sacrifices we have all been making over recent weeks by following the Tier 3 and then National Restrictions are starting to pay off.
“I've also been asked about the percentage of people who test positive locally and this is currently 16.4%. This is down from a high of 18%."
