Hide AdSheffield CCG is now calling for people over the age of 56 to book their vaccinations at the centre set up at Sheffield Arena.
This comes after all the cohorts of people in older age groups have been offered the vaccine, including those in the top four most vulnerable groups.
And a spokesperson for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which operates the Arena vaccination centre, said that capacity at the centre is expected to increase in the next few weeks to cater for the ever-increasing number of people eligible to book their jabs.
Giving advice on booking jabs, they said: "We are very busy at the moment because the vaccinations have opened up to more cohorts. Vaccinations are happening constantly, all day every day, and we are about to significantly increase the capacity at the Arena.
