The UK will hold a national minute’s silence in tribute to the frontline workers who have lost their lives to the coronavirus crisis at 11am today.

The Prime Minister first said he tested positive for Covid-19 on March 27, and was admitted to hospital on April 5 after his condition deteriorated.

On Monday, April 27, figures from NHS England confirmed that a total of 422 people who had tested positive for coronavirus have died across South Yorkshire’s hospital trusts.

Across the region the number of confirmed coronavirus cases stands at 3,528.
