Police have started to enforce government guidelines on self-isolation, with powers to fine people who break the rules.

Checkpoints have also been put in place on roads in a bid to tackle non-essential travel.

The number of cases in Sheffield is currently 286. In Rotherham there are 39, in Barnsley 42 and in Doncaster there are 24.

In Derbyshire there are 170 confirmed cases, and in Nottinghamshire there are 135.
