REVEALED: The Yorkshire areas where coronavirus is on the rise, as it falls again in Sheffield

This is the latest coronavirus rate for every local authority area in Yorkshire, listed in descending order.

In Sheffield the infection rate, or incidence rate, fell sharply after peaking in the days up to August 14.

However, Mayor of Sheffield City Region still warned residents of the very real threat of the virus.

The figures, for the seven days up to and including August 18, are based on tests that have been carried out both in laboratories (pillar one of the Government's testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two).

The list is based on the latest Public Health England figures.

The list shows the rate of new cases in the seven days to August 18, followed by the equivalent figure for the previous seven days to August 11.

Data for the most recent three days on record (August 19-21) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.

The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 population.
