According to NHS England, delays in the length of time to confirm publicly a death of somebody testing positive for Covid-19 can occur for reasons such as an individual being tested post-mortem or difficulties in tracing and informing family members.

The number of confirmed reported deaths in England now stands at 1,125, an increase of 190 from yesterday.

NHS England said the 190 patients who died were aged between 39 and 105 years old and all but four patients – who were aged between 57 and 87 years old – had underlying health conditions.
