Coronavirus: Doncaster's Cusworth Hall is closed until further notice

Doncaster’s historic Cusworth Hall has been closed until further notice because of coronavirus.

The hall has been shut – but the park and grounds will remain open at the moment.

A spokesman said: “Due to Government guidance on COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Cusworth Hall will be closed until further notice.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused — it was not an easy decision to make, but the health of the community and our staff is our priority at this difficult time.

Cusworth Hall has been closed.

“The outdoor park will remain open for public use.

“Social distancing advice should be followed by all park users.

“All upcoming events have been cancelled or postponed for now. We are currently planning a programme of online activities to substitute our events and outreach sessions wherever possible.

“Please check our website and social media channels for further updates.”

Yesterday, the National Trust announced it was closing all it sites because of the pandemic.
