Coronavirus: Doncaster music festival issues important update on this year's event

Askern Music Festival – which will feature appearances from Feeder, The Coral and Republica – is scheduled to take place this summer.

Organisers said: “We just wanted to give you a quick message to let you know we’re still working hard to make Askern Music Festival 2020 take place on July 11.

“In light of the uncertainty we currently face around the ongoing spread of coronavirus we will be closely monitoring the guidance from the health authorities and the government.

“Fingers crossed that four months is enough time for the situation to change for the better. If this isn’t the case we will postpone to a later date or reschedule for 2021.

“All purchased tickets will be valid for either outcome. Keep safe and keep washing those hands!”
