The director of Public Health in Sheffield said the high number of cases in Sheffield compared to areas of a similar size is because there is more testing currently happening in the city compared to other areas.

Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, there are 24 confirmed cases in Doncaster, 39 in Rotherham and 42 in Barnsley.
