Coronavirus: 4 more people in Sheffield die after testing positive for the disease

The latest coronavirus statistics from NHS England today (April 6) state that 4 patients in Sheffield have died after testing positive for coronavirus since yesterday.

This brings the total number of people to have died in the city after testing positive to 51.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sheffield stands at 833, according to the latest figures released yesterday.

In Rotherham there have been four more deaths, taking the total to 12.

In Barnsley there have been 21 deaths in total. Two people died in Barnsley since yesterday.

In England, a further 403 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 4,897.

Patients were aged between 35 and 106 years old. 15 of the 403 patients (aged between 52 and 94 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
