Confirmed coronavirus cases in South Yorkshire mapped as Sheffield death toll nears 150

There have now been 2,713 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley with 296 deaths recorded.
In South Yorkshire, 10 fatalities were reported in the last 24 hour reporting period.

Hide AdSheffield has 1,553 cases and has seen 141 deaths while in Doncaster, 55 have died from a total of 263 cases.
In Rotherham, 453 cases have been recorded with 50 deaths reported.
There have been 50 deaths in Barnsley, from a total of 444 cases.
The figures, however, are thought to be far higher as this does not include those who have died in care homes or the community.

Hide AdAcross the UK, the coronavirus death toll has soared to 15,538 - the fifth highest total in the world behind the US, Italy, Spain and France.
It comes as the Department of Health issued advice for all NHS workers in light of impending PPE supply issues, which the government has blamed on ever-increasing worldwide demand.
The document states that, where it is safe to do so, doctors and nurses should consider the "reuse of personal protective equipment" even if designated by the manufacturer as a single-use product.
It says that the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognises that “some compromise is needed to optimise the supply of PPE” in times of extreme shortages.
