At least 20 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in three Sheffield neighbourhoods

There have been at least 20 new cases of coronavirus in three Sheffield neighbourhoods, the most recent data from Public Health England has confirmed.

The latest available data from the government health body reveals that no fewer than 15 neighbourhoods in the city registered 13 or more new Covid-19 cases between 20 and 26 September.

In three areas of Sheffield, there were at least 20 new positive cases reported via hospitals and swab testing in the community by September 28.

The city remains an ‘area of concern’ on the Government’s coronavirus watchlist – which seeks to identify and monitor areas with higher rates of infection.

The below 15 neighbourhoods have been worst-affected by the virus.
