Another chance for anyone over 18 to get Covid-19 vaccination in Sheffield TODAY

Another walk-in vaccination clinic will be held in Sheffield on Sunday after the success of a pop-up clinic at The Crucible.

Despite a slow start, all 700 doses available at the theatre were used on Saturday for the second week running, with long queues pictured snaking around Crucible Square.

Today, Darnall Primary Care Centre on Main Road is open for anyone over 18 to receive either their first or second jab, provided a minimum of four weeks has passed between doses.

The BioNTech Pfizer vaccine is the only one available at the centre and staff can only support people with that vaccination. That means anyone who was given a different vaccine when they got their first jab cannot receive this one.

The service is available between 9am and 4.30pm, or until supplies run out.

A spokesperson at the centre told The Star it had been a quiet start to the day – but they have “lots of availability” of vaccine doses.

There was plenty of demand at the second pop-up Covid-19 vaccination clinic at The Crucible despite a slow start.
