A woman whose husband was admitted to intensive care with coronavirus has praised the ‘amazing’ Sheffield hospital workers who ‘saved his life’.

Sally Lewis took to the airwaves to thank the doctors and nurses who have been caring for her husband Martin Craven at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital, after she received some amazing news about his condition.

In a message read out by Paddy O’Connell on his BBC Radio 2 All Request Sunday show yesterday evening, she said: “My husband Martin Craven was taken to intensive care at Sheffield Royal Hallamshire Hospital on Tuesday night suffering with you know what.
