The 27 Sheffield areas with the most new Covid-19 cases this week - including one with 18

The coronavirus infection rate is rising across Sheffield, new figures show, with at least three confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded in 27 neighbourhoods across the city during the latest week.

There were five postcodes where 10 or more people tested positive, including one with 18, between August 30 and September 5.

The latest government data published today, Thursday, September 10, covers the period up to September 5 and the area breakdown only shows neighbourhoods with three or more cases to avoid identifying individuals.

In the week ending Saturday, September 5, there were 192 confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded across Sheffield – a weekly infection rate of 32.8 new cases per 100,000 people.
