The 22 areas of Sheffield where infections have doubled this week as third lockdown looms

Latest data from Public Health England has revealed the 22 areas in Sheffield where coronavirus cases have increased by 50% or more.

Government figures from the seven days to December 29, shows the number of neighbourhoods in the city where virus infections are rising, with one area in Sheffield experiencing a 333.3% increase in cases.

The city and the rest of South Yorkshire remains in Tier Three, while the vast majority of the country is under the harshest Tier Four level restrictions.
