The 15 Sheffield areas with the most Covid-19 deaths since lockdown began

Lockdown measures were initially put in place on March 23, and the Office of National Statistics has been keeping track of every death across the country since then.

The number of recorded deaths of people who tested positive for covid-19 has been decreasing as the country nears the end of the first wave of the pandemic.

In July in Sheffield there were only seven recorded deaths of people with the virus, and the number of new cases in the city has been decreasing in recent weeks, too.

The latest data released by the ONS shows the number of coronavirus deaths in each area of Sheffield for the period of March to July this year.

This equates to every recorded death in each area, and therefore shows which areas of the city were the worst-affected by coronavirus in terms of the number of deaths.

These are the 15 worst affected places up to July.
