13 more die with coronavirus in South Yorkshire hospitals

Thirteen more people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in South Yorkshire, the latest NHS figures have shown.

Six more people who tested positive for the virus have died in Sheffield’s hospitals, according to the most recent data, bringing the total Covid-19 related fatalities in the city to 581.

Three further deaths were recorded in Doncaster, where the death toll stands at 548.

In Rotherham there were three additional deaths, taking the total to 420 and in Barnsley there have now been 409 deaths, after one more was recorded in the town.

A further 318 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 48,860.

Patients were aged between 38 and 100 years old. All except 13, aged 64 to 92 years old, had known underlying health conditions.

The families of those who died have been informed.
