The NHS vaccination centre, inside Sheffield Arena on Broughton Lane, welcomed its first patients from 10am on Monday, January 25.
It is now operating in addition to over 30 primary care sites across the region where GPs and their teams are already inoculating the most vulnerable.
A total of 32 new sites are opening in England this week as work continues to vaccinate the population against Covid-19.
Barnsley couple Colin and Rita Moss, aged 78 and 79 respectively, were among the first people to be vaccinated at the Arena.
Our photographer Scott Merrylees visited the site and captured these images as the vaccination programme got underway.
