Coronavirus: Latest confirmed cases figures for South Yorkshire released

The number of coronavirus cases in South Yorkshire has increased again, according to the latest figures.

Public Health England figures, which are due to be updated again today, show that as of yesterday, 72,818 people had been tested in the UK and 5,018 were confirmed positive.

The death toll for the UK stood at 233.

In Sheffield, there are 61 confirmed cases, 7 in Barnsley, 6 in Rotherham and 5 in Doncaster.

There are 4,257 patients who have tested positive in England.
