Nine-year old Bailey Kerry of Armthorpe plans a sponsored cycle three times around Lakeside, despite his challenging asthma condition, to support the Eve Merton Dreams Trust.

Bailey’s mum Shiree, who is fundraising manager for the Trust said: “Bailey helps with charity events often but wanted to do something himself to help his grandad and other people who have cancer.

“The ride will be difficult for him but he’s determined. His bike is an early birthday present to enable him to do it.”

So far the Shaw Wood Academy pupil has raised £350 on his donation page, but hopes to add further to this amount.

Bailey has suffered with asthma from being five months old and has had countless visits to hospital. On one occasion he also developed pneumonia and nearly lost his life.

The Eve Merton Dreams Trust is a non profit organisation that donates the money it raises to help create a dream for a terminally or seriously ill cancer patient in the Doncaster area.
