Neil Thompson, the Sheffield Wednesday caretaker manager, has named an unchanged starting XI for tonight’s game against Stoke City.

It means the Owls will bid to climb out of the Championship relegation zone with the same side which defeated Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 at Hillsborough seven days ago.

There’s also still no place for January signing Andre Green in the squad and, unsurprisingly, it's the same bench Thompson selected for the game against the Chairboys.

Wednesday go into this evening’s game at the Bet365 Stadium in 22nd place but just a point from safety following an upturn in form which has seen them win four of their six league games in 2021.

Writing on Twitter, our Owls correspondent Joe Crann wrote: “#SWFC unchanged, and unsurprisingly so. Nobody deserved to be left out after the Wycombe win, so it’ll be Harris and Reach whipping them in for Rhodes and Paterson again.”
