Officers patrolling Burngreave stopped a car last night and seized the weapons after searching it following reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

South Yorkshire Police said: “This isn't your average tool kit you would normally find one fixing their car with, but that was the story tonight's unlucky driver told officers after his vehicle was stopped following reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

“While officers from the Burngreave team are by no means experts in the art of vehicle repair, we believe there were more suitable tools out there for our driver to utilise

“Luckily again, the friendly neighbourhood Burngreave officers were there to advise the driver about the error of his ways and the male will be processed appropriately.”
