The Fox Valley Farmers’ Market is taking place on Saturday at the Fox Valley retail park in Stocksbridge from 9am to 3pm – as rules allow essential traders and food stalls to operate.

Stalls will include Old Bridge Bakery, The Cheese Shop and Weigh to Save, an eco-friendly stall where shoppers can bring their own containers and weigh dried food including flour, sugar, lentils, cereals and nuts.

Alongside the market, several essential retailers are still open at Fox Valley such as Holland and Barrett, Aldi, Home Bargains and Boots. Sandersons Boutique, Costa Coffee and Next are open too for click and collect or takeaways.

Jessica Horton, from the Fox Valley Markets team, said the farmers’ market was ‘a great way for visitors to shop safely for their essential items while supporting local traders’.

As well as the monthly event, another market also happens at the retail park every Friday from 10am to 4pm. Shoppers can leave their cars for free for up to four hours at Fox Valley, or pay £2.50 to park all day.

Markets are run by Fox Valley’s management in partnership with Sheffield Council.
