European report suggests former Championship boss offered Sheffield Wednesday manager's job

Serbian outlet Sports Journal believe former Watford boss Vladimir Ivic has been officially offered the role less than a month on from his departure from Vicarage Road, though there is no further detail to the report.

The Owls have been on the lookout for a new manager since the shock sacking of Tony Pulis after only 45 days last month.

Former Serbia and Montenegro midfielder Ivic, 43, who has a win ratio of over 60 per cent across his entire managerial career, was in charge of Greek giants PAOK and Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv prior to his brief Hornets tenure. He won the Greek Cup in 2017 and has two Israeli titles to his name.

He left Watford after nine of only 22 league matches as the Championship club continued its reputation for ruthless managerial sackings.
