The event has been sparking imaginations and instilling a love of reading for decades, with children and adults alike dressing up in honour of their favourite books.

And many Sheffield schools are taking part with book-themed activities and game running throughout the day (Thursday, March 5).

Pupils will be designing their own book covers, taking part in quizzes or simply enjoy reading together or alone.
