Student skates to success

Teen Charlie Stringer is setting her sights on competing in the World Junior Synchronised Skating Championships.

The 16-year-old started skating at the age of seven, on the basic UK level scheme progressing through the 16 levels, which resulted in her joining the Sheffield Synchronised Ice-Skating club at the age of 10.

Charlie who is a student at Barnsley College said: “My greatest sporting achievement would be managing to qualify for the Team GB development squad.”
