A Sheffield secondary school that had to keep pupils home because its boiler broke down in the night will be back open tomorrow.

Amid this week’s freezing temperatures, Stocksbridge High School was left without hot water or heating today (December 13) due to the fault.

Students were told to stay home for the day and were set work through online classrooms.

The school has now confirmed their boiler is fixed and it will be back open tomorrow (December 14) in time for predicted temperatures of -5C.
