Sheffield school closures LIVE: Snow day for pupils as ‘Beast from the East 2’ hits
More and more schools have announced they are closing their doors for the day after snow hit Sheffield overnight.
It comes as the Met Office sounds an ‘amber’ weather warning for snow for the city along with other parts of northern England which will stay in place until Wednesday (February 10).
Schools are currently open under the national lockdown for children of keyworkers and vulnerable children- but many are shutting up shop as more snowfall is expected from 8am until 11pm tonight.
