Sheffield school CANCELS evening classes as second lockdown looms for city

A Sheffield school has suspened all its evening classes as a second national coronavirus lockdown prepares to kick in in the city.

King Edward VII School, which runs a number of weekly evening classes in a variety of subjects, has said teaching will be put on hold.

A spokesman said: “Due to the announcement of a national lockdown we have made the decision to suspend evening classes from today, Tuesday 3 November.

"This means there will be no evening classes taking place this week.

“We are in the process of making arrangements for some classes to move online from next week where feasible. Students will be sent an email with further information about the class they are taking later this week.

“Thank you for your continued understanding of this difficult situation.”

The school in Glossop Road has already had a number of pupils test positive for coronavirus in recent weeks, both in school and at its evening classes.
