Santa appeared in the Dell, the Broomhill independent school’s secret wooded garden and Forest School learning area, where he was able to meet all junior school pupils and staff and present gifts to all.

Jon Clark, junior school headteacher, said: “We’d like to give many thanks to our parent/elf helpers for their time and efforts in helping the school prepare for this wonderful Christmas event.

“All our usual social distancing measures were observed at all times to ensure the children enjoyed a safe and magical morning.”
