She said: “We asked all the staff members to film themselves doing something daft and singing along to the song and then to send it to us.

“We released the video on Easter Sunday and everybody loved it.

“We had parents sending us messages saying they were crying happy tears.

“We wanted the children to be able to see us again.

“It's been over a month and we thought this would be a great way to spread joy and happiness.”

Monteney Primary School like others is continuing to teach it’s pupils remotely through Google Hangout and Class Dojo.

“We miss them all a lot,” she continued.

“We can’t wait to get back to school and see the kids again.”

“It was nice to put something together to show them that we are still here and thinking about them every day.

“We wanted them to see some friendly faces and feel supported.

“We think of ourselves as a big family at Monteney and I feel lucky to be a part of it.”

The video has so far been watched 5,000 times on YouTube.

As the school’s logo is a rainbow the staff and pupils have enjoyed the use of the symbol during this pandemic.

Precious said: “We have been painting rainbows on pebbles and leaving them on walking routes around the school so children can find them during their daily exercise.

“We also put together messages from the staff and printed them out onto laminated stars for the children to collect outside the school.”
