Sheffield primary to CLOSE for coronavirus deep clean to prevent ‘further transmission’

A Sheffield primary school has announced one-day closure for a coronavirus deep clean.

Shooters Grove Primary School in Stannington is to be closed tomorrow to allow the entire building to be deep cleaned in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among pupils, teachers and staff.

In a tweet yesterday, the school said: “School closed to pupils on Friday, November 13 to allow a ‘deep clean’ to prevent further Covid-19 transmission.

“This decision has not been taken lightly. School will reopen on Monday, November 16 to all open bubbles. Apologies.”

Parents thanked the school for doing all it can to try to keep children safe.
