Parents! Popular kids’ play centre is back under new owners

Play Valley, on Coleford Road in Darnall, has been completely refurbished and given a bright new facelift, with lots more facilities on offer to entertain the little ones.

Formerly Jungle Mania, the centre had closed down in January after 12 years before it was snapped up by Play Valley in February. Since then its new owners, who also run a thriving play centre at Wath upon Dearne in Rotherham, have thrown themselves into the challenge of renovating the centre and adding a little Play Valley magic.

Firm favourites including a sports court, sensory features, a car track and a gated toddler play space have been added, as well as a unique set of role play pods brimming with features to bring little imaginations to life.

The centre's makeover has clearly delighted customers, with glowing reviews on the Play Valley Sheffield Facebook page.

"Went today and the staff were so friendly and welcoming! The food was lovely. The playing area is great, my sons played for hours, there's so much to do – also love the fact they have fish! It is very clean, and service is amazing," wrote one, while another posted: "Great place, clean and a variety of things for kids to do. My daughter and friend were asking when they could come back even before we had left! Staff are great and food is really good too."

Open seven days a week, Play Valley now offers role play and soft play under one roof in clean and bright surroundings, with the designated toddler area making it popular with parents of younger children too.

Musical toys, fish, a pretend pet shop and play cafe all help to inspire young minds, while the squashy blocks and climbing zone help to burn off that excess energy. The fantastic coffee and hot food options make it a great choice for a day out for parents too.

Staff offer a friendly welcome, and birthday parties can be booked inside Play Valley's very own birthday bus: party package prices start at £9.95 per child for 90 minutes of play in one of the super play frames, followed by a delicious birthday banquet and ice cream.

Play Valley Sheffield, at Unit 6 & 7 Coleford Road Business Centre, 291 Coleford Road, Sheffield, S9 5NF, is open from 10am until 6pm seven days a week, though it may close early occasionally for special events. On weekends, there are more than 60 car parking spaces available.
