'Magical' big tick from Ofsted for Sheffield nursery

Steps Community Nursery, on Pack Horse Lane in High Green, has received the ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted across the board, from its leadership, to staff teamwork, and outcomes for all its children.

The report describes the children as flourishing within the nursery, noting that they are “visibly happy and well cared for” .

The inspector cites great examples of caring, patience and understanding towards all children , from its committed staff.

Ofsted found that children are exceptionally well supported for the next stage in their learning, and the subsequent move up to school.

Lorraine Hague, nursery manager, said: “We’re so happy. This rating is testament to the hard work, commitment and care that our amazing team of staff give to all our children.

“To hear an inspector say that our nursery is ‘magical’ is a dream come true for us!”
